" The tide rushes in tendery, calmly
Hugging her man, the land, the sand
All is at her command as she speacks
A language of her own..."
It is the smallest island in the world to be shared by two nations, the Kingdom of Netherlands and France, creating a European-influenced vibe with Caribbean flair.
That's why vacationing in St Maarten/ St Martin is so unique: you get two for the price of one: two countries, two cultures, as the say fantasticaly French and delightfully Dutch, since the Netherlands and France have shared the island for more than 300 years.
Why visit St Maarten/ St Martin:
No 1 attraction for me was Sunset Beach Bar, at Maho Beach at Princess Julliana airport. The place is the coolest spot for all spotters around the world: St Maarten/ St Martin is the only place in the world where you can see airplanes landing soooo close, right above your sunbed. The feeling is unique. And the jetblast is free and strong and dangerous 🙂
2. The island is a paradise: There are 37 beaches to explore on St Maarten/ St Martin-one for every square mile of the island.
All you need is sunscreen, a towel and a camera...( yes, not even clothes, in some areas 🙂
More...soon! I' m out, getting a tan and waiting to capture the perfect picture of a KLM bird!:)
