Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa Zanzibar: we promise African memories

 

I have to tell  you about another hotel, perfect for a chic escape.  In Zanzibar, Kiwengwa beach, I discovered a tiny treasure, a very friendly resort in the most traditional Zanzibar style. it is part of Neptune Hotels group and their slogan speaks for itself: WE PROMISE AFRICAN MEMORIES. and they sure did:)

When, the car dropped us from the airport up on the hill, we were  enchanted by a unique view, a huge garden with cottages, shaded by turquoise ocean and blue sky.

I loved the cottages, the rooms with king beds and amazing balcony views,(  where the internet signal was not very strong ( and I appreciated it)  the pool, the beach with sunbeds under each palm tree, facing the ocean where we could fall asleep while dreaming of white beaches and crystal blue waters 🙁 not a dream at all) , the lobby decorated with fresh flowers every day( where yes, the internet signal was highly  strong and people were gathering from time to time to check their e-mail or instagram accounts), the African  furniture with handcrafted details, the huge tropical garden with stone alleys and wooden stairs, the pool bar, the restaurant with sea view where I enjoyed my tea every morning while  ravens were stealing my muffins, the spa: the Rain and Earth Spa ( yes, it did rain while I was relaxing in the spa Jacuzzi:) , the boutique with local souvenirs, the water sport centre, the special dance and music nights organized by the pool, and even the little scared lizards running on the alleys.

yes, I loved every single detail and all are now part of MY AFRICAN MEMORIES:)
